About Me
KJS Woodworking
Hello, I'm Kelvin, the person behind KJS Woodworking, a small, independent woodworking business based in the heart of Warwickshire.
My passion for woodworking began in the years after leaving school, but life took me into a career in precision engineering, where I spent over 35 years developing a keen eye for accuracy, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Although I enjoyed my engineering career, I always knew I wanted to return to working with wood.
During the COVID pandemic, and following a life-changing illness, I made the decision to take voluntary redundancy and finally turn that long-held ambition into reality by creating my own workshop at home.
Today, I specialise in crafting unique, handcrafted wooden pieces, from personalised chopping boards and charcuterie platters to scroll saw artwork, tea light holders, and other bespoke gifts. Every item is carefully designed and made by me, with the same precision, care, and pride that I brought to my engineering career.
Thank you for visiting KJS Woodworking. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.

A Note About Natural Wood
Every piece I make is handcrafted from real wood, and that’s what makes it special. Wood is a natural material that continues to respond to its surroundings, so you may notice slight variations in colour, grain, knots, or the occasional small crack over time.
These aren’t faults—they’re part of the unique character and beauty of real wood. No two pieces are ever the same, making every item truly one of a kind.
